About Us

Dr Theunis C Botha completed his MBChB (UP) in 1981 and his MMed Orthopaedis (UFS) in 1991. He is a member of SAMA, SAOA, as well as GMC (UK), and he is registered with HPCSA MP 244139 and  BHF 2804638.

Dr Theuns has attended congresses all over the world including the AAOC twice in USA, Arthroplasty in Davos, and various other congresses in Germany, the United Kingdom and in France. He is often called upon to assist colleagues with arthroplasty, even going to East London to help out there.

Procedures that Dr Theuns attend to includes the following:

Total joint reconstruction (arthroplasty) of the knee, hip and shoulders; hand, foot, ankle, shoulder and elbow surgery; othopaedic trauma as well as surgical sports procedures; and with the help of Dr Stefan Colyn paediatric orthopaediatric surgery.

Dr Theuns is supported by a well trained staff. They help with the following:

Hester Buitendag, as the receptionist is not only the face of the practice, making appointments, helping with the sign of our PBP (click here), ensuring that patient are informed, attended to, she is also the backbone helping with typing of reports, filing, ordering from stationary to syringes. She has been with Dr Theuns since 2010.

Reinette Els does astimations, aurthorizations, theatre booking and submit all claims. Working with Dr Theuns since 1994 she is the pulse of this practice.

Renee Botha does all the claims processing and payments from medical aids to patients. As practice manager it is her responsibility to ensure all actions, from treatment, to information adheres to the kadandrum of legislative prescriptions.
